ISMÊ started in Rio de Janeiro. Not as a brand but as a feeling. The energy of Ipanema on a Sunday afternoon, the yellow umbrellas, the caipirinhas, the way everyone looks impossibly good and completely unbothered at the same time.
This collection is a love letter to my home, where it all began. My love for Rio, the beach, and bikinis that make you feel good in your own body.
Brazilian cuts, beaded details, and the kind of colors that elevate any low self-esteem day. Mint green with earthy brown, butter yellow with turquoise, turquoise velvet with shell accents. Each piece is its own moment, but they all tell the same story.

We shot this in Rio (while I was remotely, if you can believe that!) on the beach, in that specific golden light that makes everything look like a memory. Born here. Made for everywhere.

FAQ
What is the ISMÊ Rio de Janeiro collection?
A tribute to where it all began. The Rio de Janeiro collection is rooted in the city that gave ISMÊ its name and its soul. It brings together our signature Brazilian bikini cuts, beaded details, and the colors of Ipanema — sunlit gold, ocean blue, warm sand. Each piece is made in textured fabric and finished with hand-placed beads and gold charms that catch the light the way the sea does at golden hour. The Brazilian cut sits low on the hips and higher at the back for that signature lift — cheeky, flattering, and designed to move from the sand to the bar. It's swimwear made to feel like a souvenir from somewhere warmer.
What is a Brazilian bikini cut?
Brazilian cuts sit higher on the hip and have less coverage in the back — they're designed to elongate the legs and flatter every body type. ISMÊ's version is cheeky without being uncomfortable, and looks even better after a day in the sun.
What makes ISMÊ swimwear different?
Textured fabrics, custom bead and shell details, and limited runs. Every collection tells a story and is designed to stand out — not match half the people at the beach.
Who is Isabella Bailey?
